Italy, 10 lire, 1956

Here’s today’s coin…

Italy, 10 lire, 1956 (KM #93)

The plow and grain motifs are a tribute to Italian agriculture. Who can think of Italy without thinking about spaghetti and garlic bread? This coin type was minted by Italy between 1951 and 2001. I have several other coins of this type, but the 1956 date is new to me. Mintage in 1956 was 76,650,000.
